Ordered a couple of castles and nuggets today. The food was delivered on time, the supplier (young man) was very, very friendly, a short conversation (of course with a distance and both with a mask), then in and unpacked. Appearance of the burger 10+, taste of the burger 10+, fries and nuggets also very good. Everything to the fullest satisfaction. Thank you, dear Journal team, you spoiled us today with your meal for home. Greetings Sascha and Michael

We ordered half a goose too go there because of the lockdown and were very enthusiastic about it, the goose was very good and not dry or tough This can not be done any better ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars and that was definitely not the last time we ordered there

Cheese fries are easy to recommend, whether normal or sweet potatoes. my wife loves the spare ribs. Simply delicious and great service even in times of Corona. Recently ordered home. Top keep it up !!

Ordered 2 times there, ate once on site .. 3 times need for improvement. 1st order - ordered burger medium. Came raw. It was delivered later, but the evening was over because you were the only one who could eat alone after waiting 30 minutes. 2nd order - forget about Coleslaw. Forget all sauces. Forget salad dressing. - Here, too, was delivered after about 30 minutes. Eaten once on site - ordered steak. Steak and side dish cold. Herb butter had started. The taste and quality of the food is good.

Always nice and always nice there and on top of that very tasty food. And right now, in the Corona time, people have adapted very well there, so that it is almost more likely that you are more likely to get infected outdoors in some pedestrian zone than there while eating. So it is all the more incomprehensible why restaurateurs of all places have to close ...

It's okay ..... Food is okay too, but nothing special ... Unfortunately, in times of Corona, I find it very tight ... Service staff are very nice .... Ambience is also cozy

Great restaurants! There is now a delivery service - which works well - but the quality of the food suffers from the transport. As with all delivery services. That's why we prefer to visit the restaurant in person. In the summer on the Rodau a nice little outdoor area.

I've known the journal for over 30 years. Despite multiple changes of owner, it is always a great address for delicious food and a great atmosphere. The current owners have been there for several years now, and food is highly recommended. Gladly again

In the past we have always been very satisfied and we only hear positive things from our own circle of friends. So we wanted to recommend the journal again and invite friends. Since I could not reach anyone on the reservation phone number until the early afternoon, as you always ended up on a mailbox, I made the reservation online on the website, which was followed by the reservation confirmation a short time later. When we got to the journal we were told first of all that we had reserved a table in the beer garden. I would like to mention that I only entered the number of people and the desired time online and I assume that the restaurant is able to do so on a permanently cloudy, mixed day with 20 ° C outside temperature, drizzling rain and not a ray of sun itself, to place the guests appropriately. Despite all that, we first sat down at our table in the beer garden and waited for our friends. Less than 2 minutes later it started drizzling again, whereupon we asked the waitress to open the umbrella. Your answer: You shouldn't do that for insurance reasons! I wasn't even aware that an umbrella also has a seasonal license !? She also told us that guests who have reserved a table in the beer garden are not entitled to a table inside. I understand that too, but I haven't made a reservation in the beer garden! You really want your guests to sit in the beer garden when it's drizzling and you don't even want to open the umbrella? I also believe that the reservation process should be seriously reconsidered before the winter months ... We then got up and left. It's a shame that such a great and good restaurant managed to put four guests off with what I thought was an unnecessary action. And for this one drove from Aschaffenburg to Rodgau and was looking forward to a nice evening ... we really would have liked to have eaten at your place, but unfortunately we won't see each other again.

Always very happy! The food is delicious and there are really good portions too! The cocktails are great and the service very friendly. We always love coming back here. Reservations are recommended, however, as it is always quite full (at least on weekends).

So delicious and very friendly and quick service. No long wait for food and very, very delicious. Price / performance ratio more than coherent. We will be back

Not cheap but worth it every single penny. Delicious hamburgers, refreshing drinks, sympathetic staff. Just the lemonades could be a little more tasty but nothing that can change my review. Highly recommended.

Very good american style restaurant. They serve local beers and apple wine. The service was perfekt!

We have been here several times with colleagues. The food is good and the staff are nice - unfortunately you have to bring a lot of time, because the service is not the fastest at full load.

My wife and daughters pastas were pretty good (although not really American) and my son's burger was quite good. We ordered the nachos and they were OK, but not as spicy or layered as they are in the States. But I would order them again. My meal came up orders of magnitude short though... To be fair, as an American from the spice-rich Southwest, I probably should have set my expectations lower, but I ordered the habenero wings. It was a million miles away from being even remotely spicy. It may have been seasoned with a little black pepper, but it was NOT even remotely close to anything habenero. The fries were good. The service was functional albeit a little slow. We did need to ask for our check, but not a deal breaker. And I will say that when I asked if my wings were ordered properly as habenero because they were no where near spicy, a very nice young waitress (not our waiter) came by and offered up a couple bottles of hot sauces. It was a nice gesture and helped marginally, but I literally use Frank's Red Hot (that was one of the offered bottles) as ketchup and definitely do NOT consider it anywhere near spicy. In all, I would have rated it a solid 4 based off my families meal, but if you are a spice loving American, avoid the wings. They were OK but very disappointing if you like spicy food. If the management ever finds themselves in Colorado, I'd be happy to take you on a fantastic spicy SW American food tour.
